Into Lent Course: To know Christ
I wonder if you recognise the phrase above as the first half of our vison statement found on the bottom of our weekly notice sheet. What does it mean to you? This year, rather than a rushed Lent course and taking advantage of a late Easter, we are starting a Spring Study series in February trying to answer that question. The title of the course is To Know Christ and in our Sunday services and weekly study groups we will explore the habits that help us to know Christ and think about what it means to each of us and our churches to say we know Christ.
Meetings will start the week beginning 9th February in the following venues.
- Monday afternoons, 2pm in Vestry Hall.
- Tuesday mornings, 10.30 at 6 Woodland Rd (Pat’s house).
- Wednesday evenings, 7.30 at 48 Ash Hayes Drive (Liz’s house).
- Tickenham tbc
The series will end with a joint benefice service St Tickenham church on March 23rd.

February 9th – To know Christ (What does it mean to say we know Christ?)
February 16th – Prayer (How do we do it?)
February 23rd – Scriptures/ study (finding Christ in the Bible)
March 2nd – Fasting (what might you give up for Lent?)
March 9th – Sabbath and Rest ( How can we find a good balance to life)
March 16th – Fellowship ( why does being part of a church matter?)
March 23th – Holy Communion Benefice service. (There will be no study group this week).
Everyone is welcome whether or not you attend a home group already! Please use the sign-up sheet at the back of your church to give us an indication of numbers. Nicki is also considering a half day retreat/ Quiet day during the week beginning March 9th please indicate on the list of that is something you might be interested in.
